I find inspiration in all places wild. Currently working on a personal project to photograph all of the U.S. National Parks, much of my work comes from U.S. public lands with the occasional trip abroad.

I discovered my passion for photography during a year of living the nomad life. Gifted a Nikon DSLR by my dad (thanks Dad!), I spent a year exploring the world, from the mountains of the Himalayas, to the deserts of Namibia, and the beaches of Colombia. All while shooting in JPEG! Upon leaving the nomadic life, I frequently reminisced on my adventures through my photos, and while seeing amazing places in those photos, was disappointed with their lack of aesthetic appeal. Thus, I began a deep dive into photography and have never looked back.

Joined by my loyal black lab mix, Sally, I frequently leave behind the hustle and bustle of the D.C metropolitan area in exploration of our wild world.

Over the years I’ve continued to find artists that have influenced my work in one way or another, so wanted to give them a shoutout for the inspiration. And maybe they will influence you too.

Chris Burkard: Chris’ adventure photography is what inspired my photographic journey, and continues to show there are no limits to what you can do with a photography career.

Bryan Minear: The color master himself, Bryan is the epitome of a photographic artist.

Benjamin Hardman: Benjamin photographs the scenes and conditions of my dreams. With a minimalist and clean style, I’m always excited to see his new work.

Cath Simard: As much a digital artist as a photographer, her composites (and her course 21 Shades of Blue) opened a new world of image making to me.
