Arches National Park

Arches National Park is a not so hidden gem. Adorned on Utah license plates everywhere, and the main image of this page, Delicate Arch is a landmark that draws crowds from all over the world.

This park is so much more than Delicate Arch, or any other arch. Located just outside the town of Moab, it’s easily accessible, close to a lot of facilities and restaurants, is easily drivable, and the majority of the hikes are a few miles or less. A winter visit was perfect for this park, the desert can get quite hot in the summer! Also, since this park is so accessible, it regularly draws a crowd. Even in the winter, there were quite a bit of people around.

Seeing these incredible sandstone arches and monoliths was incredible; the way they light up in the soft light of sunrise and sunset turned them into fiery giants.
